Barclays Wealth has hired eight financial advisors in the latest bid of its Americas expansion strategy. In Los Angeles, Barclays has hired Lisa Amster from Goldman Sachs, Audra Lalley from Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management, Mark T. Lindee from Wells Fargo, and Kevin Monaco and David Garfin from Credit Suisse Private Banking. In Chicago, three-member team Stuart Buck, William Scherr and David Yaccino join from Goldman Sachs.

UBS Wealth Management Americas has hired six financial advisors. In Raleigh, N.C., Steve Eubanks and Michael Lappin-named the Eubanks Lappin Group-join from Merrill Lynch. Together, they had $4 million in annual fees and commissions and $750 million in client assets under management. In New York, David Shorr joins from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, where he had about $2.8 million in production and more than $355 million in client assets under management. In Birmingham, Mich., brothers Stephen R. Trudeau and David Trudeau join from Merrill Lynch. In Dallas, Steve Owen joins from Sanford C. Bernstein & Co.

Morgan Stanley Smith Barney hired Merrill Lynch advisors Philip Ressa and Justin Cho in Jericho, N.Y. Together, they previously had $2.1 million in annual fees and commissions and oversaw $320 million in client assets.
