UBS AG has named Robert J. McCann chief executive of UBS Group Americas in addition to his current role as CEO of the Wealth Management Americas unit. McCann replaces Philip J. Lofts, who returns to his former role as group chief risk officer. McCann will coordinate the efforts of the business units in the Americas, including asset management, investment banking and wealth management.
Raymond James shifted its leadership team ahead of the expected departure of Raymond James Financial Services Chairman and CEO Dick Averitt next year. Dennis Zank, president of Raymond James & Associates, has been promoted to chief operating officer of the parent company. Tash Elwyn replaces Zank as president of Raymond James & Associates' private client business. Scott Curtis will serve as president of Raymond James Financial Services and managing director of the firm's independent contractor division. Curtis served as senior vice president of Raymond James & Associates' private client group.
Janney Montgomery Scott expanded its private client group. Morgan Keegan executive Jim Dornan joins as senior V.P. and Washington, D.C.-based regional manager. Janney also promoted regional manager Ray DiGaetano to director of branch business development.
