UBS Wealth Management Americas hired a two-member Bank of America Merrill Lynch team in its Akron, Ohio office. The team includes financial advisors Tom Ulrich and Nick Bryant. Together, they had $1.6 million in annual fees and commissions and $260 million in assets under management.
UBS WMA also hired Morgan Stanley Smith Barney advisors Richard Freedman and Laurence Bricmont to its Cleveland office. Together, they had $900,000 in fees and commissions and $210 million in assets under management.
HighTower Advisors hired a three-member Morgan Stanley Smith Barney team to its Palm Desert, Calif. office. That team, which operates under the name Blanke Schein Group, includes William F. Blanke, Robert L. Schein and J. Michael Shields, who all serve as partners and managing directors.
Raymond James hired a two-member Bank of America Merrill Lynch team to its newly opened first office in Greensboro, N.C. They include Bill Krebs and Charles Betts, who operate under the name Piedmont Wealth Advisors. Krebs and Betts previously had $1.1 million in annual fees and commissions and $195 million in assets under management.
