UBS Wealth Management Americas hired a three-member Wells Fargo advisor team to its Port Jefferson, N.Y. office. The team incudes father and son Michael Russell and Sean Russell, as well as Philip Giammarino. Together, they had $1.8 million in annual fees and commissions and $277 million in assets under management.
UBS WMA also hired Bank of America Merrill Lynch advisor Dan Rebmann for its San Antonio, Texas office. He previously had $825,000 in fees and commissions and $125 million in AUM.
Stifel, Nicolaus & Co.'s president, co-chief operating officer and director Scott McCuaig retired on April 1 and is being replaced by James M. Zemlyak, who continues to serve as chief financial officer of holding company Stifel Financial Corp., and Allen Brautigam, who has been promoted to director of branches after previously serving as a regional director.
Raymond James has opened its first Miami Beach, Fla. office with the Morgan Stanley Smith Barney father-daughter team Martin Gelb and Sonya Gelb Choeff. The Gelb Group had more than $850,000 in annual production and $235 million in AUM.
Raymond James has also recruited Wells Fargo advisor David Lucas to its San Jose, Calif. office. He previously had $800,000 in annual production and $100 million in AUM.
