Advisors managing more than $350 million in combined assets joined Wells Fargo Advisors last month.

Two advisors joined Wells from Morgan Stanley, where they managed more than $240 million in client assets. The advisors, Dennis Shapses and David Cuellar, now work for Wells Fargo from Palo Alto, Calif. 

Wells also recruited a third advisor, Shahmir Moussavi, from UBS, where he managed more than $125 million in client assets. He joined Wells Fargo in Pleasanton, Calif.

Shapses has been in the industry 21 years, according to FINRA records. He began his career at Dean Witter and later worked at UBS and Smith Barney.  Cuellar started his advisory career at F.N. Wolf & Co. in 1990. He later worked at Merrill Lynch, UBS and Smith Barney.

According to FINRA records, Moussavi had been with UBS since 2008. He started his advisory career in 1994 at McLaughlin, Piven, Vogel Securities. Moussavi moved to Wachovia in 2001, leaving the firm for Smith Barney in 2005, prior to Wachovia's merger with Wells Fargo.

Wells last announced new recruits in mid-December, when the firm brought over a Merrill Lynch team which had managed more than $191 million in combined client assets. Advisors Alan Sylvestre and Caroline Wall joined Wells Fargo in Mystic, Conn.
