U.S. Bank has added a new team member to its high-net-worth wealth management business in Chicago. Gerald Rixie joined the Private Client Reserve as a wealth management consultant to work with high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners, the Minneapolis-based bank announced Tuesday.
Rixie was formerly the chief financial officer of Calamos Family Partners in Naperville, Ill. He is the first client-facing hire to join the team since Joe Weidenbach, a former J.P. Morgan Chase wealth management executive, was appointed Chicago market leader for the Private Client Reserve in October of 2012.
The Private Client Reserve has 26 team members throughout Chicago, a bank spokesperson said.
The Private Client Reserve defines high-net-worth clients as those with more than $1 million in investable assets. It is part of U.S. Banks Wealth Management Group.
