UBS Wealth Management Americas has added a former Morgan Stanley advisor with $600 million in assets under management and $1.1 million in production as the competition for top talent remains heated late into the summer.

Advisor Bruce G. Lanser joins in the Milwaukee, Wis., office as an institutional consultant specializing in helping institutional clients with defined contribution plans. He will be joined by his wife and partner, Bernadette T. Lanser.

Bruce Lanser has three decades of experience and began his career at Merrill Lynch in 1983, according to FINRA records. He joined Citigroup 10 years later and eventually moved to Morgan Stanley in 2009 through successive mergers.

At his new post, Lanser will report to Mike Kelly, the branch manager in Brookfield, Wis., and Steve Meadows, the complex director in Northbrook, Ill.

UBS had 7,099 advisors at the end of June, according to the firm’s latest earnings statement.
