UBS Wealth Management Americas named Karl Ruppert Complex Director in Raleigh, N.C.  The complex, which includes branches in Raleigh, Greensboro, Wilmington, Chapel Hill and Winston-Salem, has 66 financial advisors with total assets under management of $5.3 billion.

Ruppert joins UBS following an 18-year career at Morgan Stanley, most recently as complex director in Raleigh. He will be an executive director and report to Joel Funderburk, Southeast Regional Director. "Karl has held several field leadership roles throughout his career and brings a proven track record in both recruiting and coaching, for which he is known throughout the industry," said Funderburk, in a press release.

Earlier this week, UBS also hired team of three advisors in Los Angeles. In that move, Roger Stephens, Dan Rothenberg and Theodore Fisher came over from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Stephens will lead that team, which had $2.1 billion in assets under management and a trailing 12-month production of $5.2 million.
