UBS hired Megan Kelleher as a managing director responsible for prime brokerage sales activitives in Boston and the New England region, according to a memo that was circulated Thursday by Jon Yalmokas, head of U.S. prime brokerage sales, and John Laub, U.S. head of prime brokerage.
A UBS spokeswoman confirmed the appointment.
Kelleher was previosly a managing partners and one of three founders of Sowood Capital Management, a multi-strategy hedge fund seeded by Harvard Management Company in 2004. Prior to founding Soweed, Kelleher spent eight years at Harvard Management.
She joins UBS in July and will report to Yalmokas.
