SS&C Technologies said it launched a self-service portal for fund services, online.

The financial software and services firm said will also have applications for mobile devices, so that it can be a "mission-critical, on-the-go, fund administration platform.''

The Windsor, Conn., investment services provider said access will be provided through the portal and the mobile apps to customers of its global fund administration service. Hedge funds, funds of funds, private equity firms and managed accounts clients will get access to the services.

The services will include real-time access to alternative investment portfolios, risk reports, profit and loss visualization, order management and trading, performance attribution, heat maps, fund of funds liquidity, accounting books and records, investor subscription information and redemption workflow processes.

"We wanted to create an engine that provides clients the ability to determine what types of information relating to their funds is most important to them and obtain access to that information on the web or on mobile devices," said Rahul Kanwar, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of SS&C's Alternative Assets business. "Our new cloud-based portal empowers users to simply and intuitively receive critical data on a continuous basis regardless of whether they are in the office or on the go."

SS&C's customer base includes 5,000 financial services organizations, which manage more than $16 trillion in assets.
