Morgan Stanley Smith Barney is out one branch director.

RBC Wealth Management recruited Kevin Williams to serve as a senior vice president and branch director of its Richmond office, the company said in a press release.

Williams has nearly 20 years of experience. According to an RBC spokesperson in an email response, some of his responsibilities will include overseeing the daily operations of the branch and recruiting and mentoring financial advisors. Williams is replacing Joe Schwerer, who recently retired.

“His [Williams] experience, leadership and proven track record will help us grow in an important market like Richmond,” said Timothy Jones, Southeast business development director, in the release.

Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, still the largest wirehouse in terms of advisor head count, also lost a million-dollar team to UBS this week.
