In a statement, Hartmann described Sears as a seasoned professional, well-suited to lead the office due to his "industry knowledge and leadership skills."
Sears started his career in 1987 with Dean Witter, according to FINRA records. He moved to Painewebber in 1988, and joined Janney Montgomery Scott in 1996. Sears has been with RBC since 2004.
