A former branch manager was promoted to complex director at RBC Wealth Management, the firm said.

The promotion puts Wally Chapman in charge of the firm's 142-person Minneapolis, Minn. complex, which includes branches in Minneapolis, Minnetonka and Wayzata. Chapman replaces Kevin Ketelsleger, who served as complex manager since 2002, RBC said.

Chapman previously was branch director for RBC in Edina, Minn. Before joining the firm in 1995, Chapman worked at Dain Rauscher from 1995 to 1998. He also did a stint at Merrill Lynch in New York from 1989 to 1995, according to FINRA's BrokerCheck.

Tom Schulenberg replaced Chapman as branch director in Edina, according to the firm.

Client assets at the Minneapolis complex, which, have increased 75% over the past five years, the firm reported. RBC currently serves roughly 30,000 clients with more than $16 billion in assets, they said.
