RBC has built up its ranks in Pittsburgh with the addition of a former Morgan Stanley advisor Patrick J. Tobin, who has $65 million in assets.

Tobin, an industry veteran, joins the Minneapolis-based firm as senior portfolio manager-portfolio focus and will report to Ken M. Ross, senior managing director of the Pittsburgh complex.

“We are excited to welcome Patrick to RBC Wealth Management, as we continue to expand our presence in the Pittsburgh area,” Ross said in a statement. “The Pittsburgh community is very important to the firm, and we continue to look to add talented financial advisors, like Patrick, who are dedicate to best serving the needs of their clients.”

Tobin comes aboard with over 25 years of experience. He began his career in 1987 and moved to Morgan Stanley in 2009 through Citigroup, according to records with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

RBC also recently tapped Morgan Stanley for a new branch manager in the firm’s Austin, Texas, office.
