Raymond James & Associates Inc. announced on Wednesday that it has recruited Tim Sheridan from UBS Financial Services to manage its Princeton, Red Bank and Morristown, N.J., offices.

Sheridan will operate as a complex manager based in Red Bank, N.J. He was a branch manager at UBS for three years. From 1997 to 2005, he worked for Dean Witter, and later Morgan Stanley when those two companies merged, as southern New Jersey complex manager, according to a company press release.

Raymond James reported that Sheridan will contribute to the growth of its business in the area. “[His] experience in developing branches and recruiting successful financial advisors is well documented,” said Tom Walrond, Atlantic Division complex manager in a press release.

Raymond James Financial has more than 5,300 financial advisors with $231 billion in client assets. And $30 billion are managed by its asset-management subsidiaries.
