Raymond James & Associates has snapped up a four-member financial advisor team from Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Virginia Beach, Va.

The team includes Robert Krebs, Brian Pennell, Jennifer Duffy and Sandra Peters, who now operate under the name Blue Ocean Wealth Advisors. Together, they previously oversaw more than $250 million in client assets at Merrill Lynch.

The announcement of the hiring comes one day after Raymond James said it had hired two financial advisors from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and one advisor from UBS Financial Services to its Miami complex.

Krebs comes to Raymond James as a senior vice president of investments following 19 years in the financial services industry, including 11 years as a branch manager at Merrill Lynch’s Virginia Beach location.

Pennell also joins as senior vice president of investments following 22 years in the industry. He was previously registered with Merrill Lynch starting from February 1993, according to his public registration records with FINRA.

Duffy serves as senior vice president after 21 years in the industry. She was previously registered with Merrill Lynch starting from December 1990, according to her FINRA registration records.

Peters serves as vice president at Raymond James following 12 years at Merrill Lynch, where she had been registered since April 2003.

Also joining Raymond James with the team are client service associates Kelly Martin and Teddy Cabral.
