Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and Wells Fargo have each tapped the other’s advisor base for two new advisor appointments.
In a story first reported by Reuters, Morgan Stanley Smith Barney has named Michael Kidd as a new advisor to its Walnut Creek, Calif., office. Kidd joins MSSB from Wells Fargo, where he generated $1.27 million in fees and commissions last year and had $305 million in client assets under management. At the same time, MSSB also appointed Christopher Ceballos to the role of client service associate.
Separately, Wells Fargo has added David Cooper as a new advisor in its Wichita Falls, Texas, private client group office. Cooper joins Wells Fargo from MSSB, where he had $900,000 in fees and commissions last year while working with $107 million in client assets under management.
