The hiring mill keeps grinding at the wirehouses, as Morgan Stanley Smith Barney announced it has added two teams of advisors with combined client assets of more than $1 billion, according to a company spokeswoman.

Joseph Fortuna, Timothy Prete, and Salvatore Tartaglione recently joined MSSB's Hartford, Conn. office. The three join as a team called the Aegis Group and will serve ultra-high-net-worth clients, as well as the institutional consulting marketplace, the spokeswoman said.

Fortuna and Prete joined from UBS [UBS] where they spent the past three years. Tartaglione comes from Wells Fargo [WFC]. Previously, they oversaw a combined $738 million of client assets and generated over $4 million in annual fees and commissions. The new hires will report to Complex Manager Catherine Galgano.

Meanwhile, in MSSB’s Fairhope, Ala., office, Sergio D'Oliveira, Francisco D'Oliveira, Leonardo Silva and Tod Frick join from Merrill Lynch. They previously oversaw $279 million of client assets and generated over $2 million in annual fees and commissions, according to the MSSB spokeswoman.

Sergio D'Oliveira brings 26 years of industry experience in the industry, according to FINRA filings. Frick, Silva and Francisco D’Oliveira come in with 18, 9 and 5 years of experience, respectively.
