Sam Pyle and Shauywn Smith joined Morgan Stanley Smith Barney last Friday from Merrill Lynch. They will work in the Woodland, Texas office and will report to branch manager Jason Jones. The two advisors oversaw client assets of about $111 million and generated $2.9 million in production.

This comes just a few days after MSSB recruited six other advisors, most of whom were also from rival Merrill Lynch. In that announcement, team members Joseph Viviani and Robert Digregorio joined the company’s office in Melville, N.Y.  Rosalie Schlaen and Izhar Shefer joined in Aventura, Fla. And David Cohen joined in Melbourne, Fla. They were all from Merrill.

A few weeks earlier, MSSB announced seven new recruits from UBS, Chase Investment Services, and independent shop Ingalls & Snyder.
