Janney Montgomery Scott has expanded its Private Client Group with the hiring of Michael Drumm from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney as vice president and branch manager in New York and the opening of two new retail offices in New Jersey and Massachusetts.

Drumm has been registered with Janney since Aug. 31, according to records from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. He most recently served as complex business development officer and assistant branch manager at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in New York. Drumm also previously led Smith Barney’s national training center in Hartford, Conn.

Janney has also opened two new retail offices in Mount Laurel, N.J. and Danvers, Mass. The Mount Laurel, N.J. location is Janney’s sixth branch in southern New Jersey, and is led by Robert W. Hoey. The Danvers, Mass. office is the firm’s fifth office in Massachusetts and is led by Boston complex manager James McKenna.
