First Republic Bank, a San Francisco private banking and wealth management firm, announced Monday it hired Lucas Newman and Michael Tinney as portfolio managers and managing directors for First Republic Private Wealth Management in Portland, Ore.

Newman  worked for Wells Fargo’s private bank for ten years, most recently as a vice president and investment manager. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, he worked for a regional investment advisor in western Montana.

Tinney was a senior vice president and investment manager for Wells Fargo’s private bank. Prior to joining Wells Fargo in 1995, he was a portfolio manager for Investors Research Co. and was a member of the firm’s investment committee.

First Republic Private Wealth Management provides customized wealth management solutions, including trust, investment management and brokerage services, to high net worth individuals and families, foundations, endowments and non-profits. First Republic Private Wealth Management complements First Republic’s suite of private banking and business banking services.
