Credit Suisse this week added Barbara Reinhard as the new managing director and chief investment strategist of its Private Banking Americas group.

Reinhold will be responsible for investment strategy, working closely with Credit Suisse's Private Banking Global Research and Asset Management to deliver global investment themes for Relationship Managers and clients, company officials said.

She will also head the PB Americas' Investment Strategy and Advisory Team. Reinhard reports to Stewart Brenner, Head of Private Banking Americas Wealth Management Solutions.

"Barbara is a highly talented investment professional who has advised clients through many market cycles over a 20 year career," Brenner said in statement. "She will be a real asset to our clients and Relationship Managers."

Reinhard joins Credit Suisse from OppenheimerFunds, Inc., where she most recently served as senior vice president and head of investment communications. Prior to Oppenheimer, she spent 19 years at Morgan Stanley in a number of increasingly senior positions, most recently as Managing Director and Deputy Chief Investment Strategist for Global Wealth.
