Robert W. Baird & Co. has added Wells Fargo financial advisor Jason Schlesinger to its San Francisco office as part of the firm’s national wealth management expansion strategy.

Schlesinger joins Baird after serving for the past three years at Wells Fargo, where he handled $200 million in assets and had $1.3 million in annual production. Prior to that, Schlesinger served as a financial advisor at Bank of America Investment Services.

Baird has also added Stephanie Wong to its San Francisco team as a registered client relationship specialist.

Milwaukee-based Baird is also seeking to expand the Northern California presence of its business, which also includes asset management, capital markets and private equity. Since 2007, new appointments to that region have included a co-head of equity capital markets, technology and clean technology investment bankers and equity research associates and traders.

Baird also has plans to expand its wealth management business nationally, having added 188 financial advisors and branch managers since the beginning of 2009. The firm has opened or announced plans to open offices in Sioux City, Iowa; Fort Worth, Texas; Charleston, S.C., Charlotte, Raleigh and Winston-Salem, N.C.; Denver; Sacramento, Calif.; Lynchburg, Va.; and Portland, Ore.
