Four Wells Fargo advisors with more than $400 million in combined client assets have joined Ameriprise's employee channel.
The new hires joined Ameriprise's office in Sacramento, Calif. Advisor Glenn Kenes managed roughly $190 million in assets at the time his departure from the wirehouse, according to a statement from Ameriprise. Kenes made the move with fellow Wells advisor Richard Barber, with whom he has formed a new team, Ameriprise says. Barber oversees more than $63 million in assets.
Kenes started his advisory career at Prudential Securities in 1995, according to FINRA records. Prior to Wells Fargo, he worked at UBS. Barber has previous experience with Merrill Lynch as well as Edward Jones, where he began his career in 1987, BrokerCheck records show.
David Odom also made the move to Ameriprise from Wells Fargo where he managed more than $107 million in assets, the firm says. Odom started his securities career with Morgan Stanley in 1997 before later joining Wells Fargo in 2005.
Clare Hiatt oversaw more than $54 million in assets at the time of her move to Ameriprise, according to the firm. She got her start in the industry at Morgan before later taking the job at Wells Fargo in 2005.
