UBS hired a $2.5 million producer from Morgan Stanley.
Advisor Charles D. Day joined UBS in Greenwich, Conn., where he reports to branch manager Ed Emanuel, the firm said.
Day moved to UBS with Paul Gerardi, a senior wealth strategy associate. Day managed approximately $181 million in assets while at Morgan Stanley. He joined UBS as a senior vice president and senior portfolio manager, and works with high-net-worth individuals and families.
Day has almost two decades of industry experience, having earned his Series 7 in 1997, according to FINRA records. He joined Smith Barney that same year. Day, who has his CIMA designation, had been with Morgan Stanley since 2006.
UBS has recruited several high profile producers recently, including an advisor managing $1.5 billion from Merrill Lynch. Last month, James Hulburd joined UBS in Walnut Creek, Calif.
