An advisor team managing $250 million in client assets at Northern Trust has moved to the independent side of Raymond James, the firm said.

Advisor William Eric Kaehr and investment manager Paul S. Rashid have joined SAGE Private Wealth Group, an Illinois-based independent firm offering securities through Raymond James. The duo had annual revenue of nearly $2 million while at Northern Trust, according to Raymond James.

Kaehr got his start in the financial services industry in 2006 with Column Capital Group, an Indianapolis-based RIA. After that he moved to MML Investors Services, and later to Vision Investment Services in Chicago, before landing at Northern Trust in 2010, according to FINRA BrokerCheck records.

Rashid began his career at Northern Trust in 2005, and most recently held the title of portfolio manager.

The two will now work alongside Khaled Taha, a Raymond James wealth advisor and managing partner of SAGE, the firm says.

Raymond James recently recruited a former Hillard Lyons advisor with $150 million in client assets to its independent space in Prospect, Ky.
