A $1.2 million producer moved to Raymond James & Associates from Stifel Nicolaus.

Advisor David Gunter, registered service associate Karen Wygant and service associate Cindy Restauri joined Raymond James in Oil City, Pa. The team operates now as Gunter Financial Group.

While at Stifel, Gunter managed more than $191 million in client assets.

Gunter is a two-decade industry veteran, according to FINRA records. He had been with Stifel since 2009, and served as a branch manager with the firm, according to a statement from Raymond James.

The St. Petersburg, Fla.-based firm has been on a strong recruiting push. On Monday, Raymond James announced the addition of an advisor team managing $900 million in assets – its largest recruiting grab of the year so far. That team came from J.P. Morgan Securities and opened Raymond James' first office in Manhattan.

Raymond James also recruited a financial advisor from Ameriprise to become a producing branch manager. Aaron Tellez, who earned his Series 7 in 2000, joined Raymond James in Newport Beach, Calif., but will eventually move to an office in Irvine, Calif.
